The old tub or shower is disassembled, as well as any remaining parts of the enclosure, down to the bare wall. The debris is either discarded or recycled by the installation crew, so there's no clean-up involved after the job has been completed. If there is any damage that needs address after existing tub removal, it will be addressed before proceeding.

New electrical and plumbing connections are made, blocking supports erected, and new drywall is put in place.
